We recently had the pleasure of welcoming practitioners to a fantastic session at Terrace Road Primary focused on effective observation in the early years.

Through real examples of practice, the school demonstrated how careful, purposeful observation can deepen our understanding of children’s learning and help practitioners identify meaningful next steps within provision.​

The session also provided an opportunity to see how OPAL and playful learning are embedded across the school, reflecting a shared vision and consistent approach to learning.

​

A huge thank you to the staff for opening their classrooms, sharing their journey so openly and giving visitors an insight into their practice. There were some valuable conversations, thoughtful questions and lots of opportunities to reflect on how effective observation can inform and strengthen practice.
