The Power of Play
Sometimes the most powerful learning isn't found in the activity we've planned, but in what we notice along the way.

About the event
Join Meithrin on Tuesday 10th November, 5:30pm at the Village Hotel, Swansea, for an interactive professional learning evening exploring the power of play and the role of the enabling adult.
Through a carousel of hands-on play experiences, practitioners will explore how open-ended play supports children's development across the five developmental pathways: Belonging, Communication, Exploration, Physical Development and Well-being.
As participants engage with mark making, loose parts, digital play and block play, we will consider the rich learning that unfolds when children are given time, space and opportunity to play. Together, we will reflect on what development we can recognise, what children's play might be telling us, and how responsive adults can support learning without taking ownership of it.
This is an opportunity to slow down, play, observe and reflect with colleagues, deepening our understanding of child development and the role of the enabling adult in making learning visible.
